Have you tried during some down time to take an HDMI cable straight from the projector down to laptop or the video conferancing unit and verifying that you still have the freezing issue? How long is the entire run? Is it not possible to fish HDMI through the run? What type of Ethernet cable did you use? (I am suggesting a very high quality Ethernet cable and probably shielded for extra protection, if you are going to stay with that solution.) Occasionally we have to reboot the external wireless HDMI and VGA links, but with the built in Wireless Display technology and the downloaded app to the laptop, it works perfectly. The projector is hooked up to a Blu-ray player that is never used and a LifeSize Room 200 video conferencing unit. I tried to replace or eliminate any environment issues but the problem persists. This makes me think the issue could be environment but I don't know what it could be. I have had the unit replaced two or three times and have the same issues. When I plug it back it, it is fine for a few days until the next issue happens again. Most of the time, the issues are resolved by unplugging the power from the unit and letting the point drain. It frequently freezes and sometimes has distorted images. I have a Dell 7700FULLHD projector that has constant problems.
